Houseplant Information

Your houseplant will come in a black plastic nursery pot. It will have holes at the bottom of the pot to allow for proper drainage when watered. We recommend changing the pot when your plant arrives if you plan to grow your plant indoors.

If your soil is heavy or clay-like, amend it with sand or compost to improve drainage. Dig a hole slightly shallower than the root ball and twice as wide. Place the bush so the top of the root ball sits about an inch above the surrounding soil to prevent waterlogging.
  2. Spacing & Mulching: If planting more than one Meyer Lemon bush, space them 6-10 feet apart to allow for good air circulation. After planting, apply a 2-3 inch layer of organic mulch, such as pine bark or straw, around the base, keeping it a few inches away from the trunk to avoid rot.
